The Wynn Al Marjan, set to be the first integrated gaming resort in the United Arab Emirates, remains firmly on schedule for its anticipated opening in the first quarter of 2027. Donald Bremmer, Chief Operating Officer of RAK Hospitality, emphasized in an interview that the project is proceeding as planned, with no indications of delays. This announcement was made during the inaugural Seven Wonders event in Ras Al Khaimah, highlighting the project’s significance for the region. The Wynn Al Marjan is expected to significantly enhance the local tourism and hospitality landscape upon its completion.
The Wynn Al Marjan development represents a significant investment in Ras Al Khaimah, valued at $3.9 billion. As the construction progresses, the building’s height has already surpassed 90 meters, establishing it as the tallest structure in the emirate. The project is advancing quickly, with work on the resort moving beyond the 15th floor. Situated on a prime beachfront location, Wynn Al Marjan aims to enhance the emirate’s skyline and provide a luxurious destination for tourists and visitors. The ongoing development is expected to contribute positively to the local economy and tourism industry upon its completion.
Wynn Resorts is set to make a significant impact in the UAE with its first beachfront property on Al Marjan Island. Spanning 62 hectares, the ambitious project will house 1,542 rooms and suites, alongside 22 exclusive Villa Estates positioned near a newly designed marina. Guests can expect an impressive 3.6-hectare poolscape featuring multiple swimming pools, water attractions, and private cabanas, creating an idyllic leisure environment.
In addition to the resort, Wynn Resorts has demonstrated its commitment to the region by acquiring over 70 acres of land on Al Marjan Island for potential future developments. This strategic expansion means the company now owns all 155 acres of Island 3, solidifying its presence in this promising market.
CEO Craig Billings has expressed strong confidence in the UAE, highlighting it as “the most exciting new market for our industry in decades,” signaling the potential for growth and investment in the area.
The development, which commenced construction in early 2023 with UAE-based main contractor ALEC Engineering and Contracting, is poised to become a prominent feature in the skyline, soaring over 300 meters upon completion. This ambitious project underscores Ras Al Khaimah’s growing stature as a luxury tourism destination within the UAE, contributing significantly to the region’s economic diversification and attracting both international visitors and investments. As the tower takes shape, it symbolizes not only architectural advancement but also the broader vision of transforming Ras Al Khaimah into a hub for high-end tourism, further enhancing its appeal amidst a competitive landscape in UAE.
